Round 
The round brilliant cut diamond is the most popular shape of all . A round diamond will typically give you great flexibility in terms of balancing cut, color, and clarity while still achieving maximum fire and brilliance. This shape has been the industry standard for almost 100 years and is likely to remain highly fashionable for a very long time.
Princess 
The princess shape has pointed corners and it is usually square in shape. Princess-cut diamonds can vary greatly in how square or rectangular they are. This shape provides wonderful brilliance.
Radiant 
The radiant shape combines the elegance of the emerald cut and the brilliance and fire of the round diamond. Beveled corners of this geometric shape are the hallmark of the radiant.
Asscher 
The asscher cut is generally described as a forerunner to the emerald cut. This unique shape is very similar to the emerald-cut, except that it is square with a smaller table and larger steps in the pavilion ( bottom section ) than an emerald cut.
Emerald 
The look of an emerald cut is is subtle and understated with less “ flash”, or reflection and refraction than brilliant cuts. As opposed to most other shapes which are designed to give you the maximum fire and brilliance, the emerald shape provides a very cool, calm appearance. The emerald cut is usually rectangular in shape. The classic “ tennis court” proportioned emerald cut leads the market for this shape.
Cushion 
Cushion-cut diamonds replicate the shape of a cushion – hence the name . They have rounded corners and large facets . Cushion-cut diamonds are available in shapes ranging from square to rectangular.
Oval 
An oval cut diamond has the features of a round diamond, based upon its facet configuration, but it is modified into an oval form. It has beautiful brilliance that's similar to a round diamond.
Pear 
A pear shape diamond gets its name based upon its look. It is also called a teardrop for its single point and rounded end. More than with other fancy shapes, length- to-width ratio is a matter of personal taste.
Marquise 
The marquise is a boat shaped modified brilliant. This is a very elegant classic shape with pointed ends. The marquise takes its name from a legend that that the Sun King desired a stone to be polished into the shape of the month of the Marquise of Pompadour.
Heart 
The heart shape is the ultimate symbol of love. It is considered very romantic . Technically, this stone is a heart shaped modified brilliant.
